A new initiative promoted by the CDP Group: 54 rent-controlled apartments for young people, families and workers who do not have access to public housing
Countering the housing shortage by supporting initiatives that respond to the demands of our day with accessible and innovative housing solutions for young people, families and workers who do not meet the requirements for public housing and are unable to find housing that meets their needs.
With this objective, social housing has come to Rimini thanks to a new initiative of the Iccrea BancaImpresa Fund, the main contributor to which is the CDP Group that, through the FIA fund, managed by CDP Investimenti SGR, invested 15 million euros out of a total underwritten amounting to about 25 million. In essence, the project consists of the purchase of two buildings composed of 54 apartments in Via Caduti del Soccorso Aereo (in the Corpolò district), a residential area near the large public square.
These apartments, built to earthquake-resistant standards, having high energy ratings and featuring large outdoor areas, will be let using different lease formulas (subsidised leasing, rent to buy and subsidised sale at below free market prices). The initiative will start, for the time being, with the subsidised leasing and sale of the 29 units in building 17; building 16 instead is under construction and the works are scheduled to be completed for the summer of 2019.
Thanks to the CDP Group, the Iccrea BancaImpresa Fund - managed by Investire SGR - and the RiminiBanca Cooperative Credit Institute, the innovation of social housing is spreading to the city of Rimini too.
