New growth opportunities for Nice with €170 million in funding.
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti participated with €40 million in the deal together with Unicredit, BNL, MPS and Banco BPM, with the aim of supporting business development, in line with the Group’s ambitious 2019-2024 business plan.
A particular focus will be placed on internationalisation, considering its recent acquisitions of Italian and foreign companies active in the sectors of Smart Home, Home Automation and Home Security. The Nice Group, founded in Oderzo (TV) in 1993, is the internationally renowned Italian multinational offering integrated solutions for the automation and control of the home and buildings. The company has a presence with production units, distribution units and research and development centres in over 20 countries, employing over 2,300 people. Nice, which manufactures and markets a wide range of integrated and connected solutions for the automation of gates, garages, solar shading systems, parking systems, wireless alarm systems and home security, for residential, commercial and industrial applications, has production plants in Italy, Germany, Poland, Brazil, United States, Canada, Australia and South Africa.
The Group's success, with a turnover of €368.2 million in 2018, more than 91% of which was made abroad, is due to the substantial investments made in recent years in Research and Development and also the growth strategies for external lines that led to the conclusion of acquisitions in 2018 and early 2019 for approximately €130 million. Today Nice has reached a high level of diversification in geographical and product terms, contributing to the implementation of iconic projects all over the world, such as the Unicredit Pavilion (now IBM Studios) in Milan, the W Barcelona Hotel (aka the Hotel Vela) in Barcelona, the Vodafone Headquarters in Lisbon and the Montevideo International Airport.
This deal confirms the role of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group in supporting businesses in order to promote the competitiveness and the internationalisation of Italy’s production sector. For more information about the Nice group www.niceforyou.com
