The MSC Seashore, the new ship that Fincantieri, a company owned by CDP, is building at the Monfalcone shipyard, was presented with the typical coin ceremony.
At 339 metres in length, the MSC Seashore - ready in 2021 - will be the new flagship of the MSC Crociere fleet and, above all, it will be the largest and most technologically advanced ship ever built in Italy. A true jewel, characterised by a futuristic design that will make it unique in the world and the latest generation of solutions to minimise environmental impact.
In particular, the SCR system will reduce nitrogen oxide by 90% through advanced active emission control technology; thanks to the AWT system, the wastewater will undergo a complete purification process.
From the point of view of onboard experience, the new ship will be an evolution of the twin ships MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview, because it has a larger size, more spacious areas, more cabins, several recreational areas and many comforts and services for passengers. These include the innovative virtual assistance service, a multi-channel digital programme that will allow guests to interact with the ship and crew members at any time and in any place.
With the works on MSC Seashore, Fincantieri has confirmed its leadership in the field of marine engineering, a strategic sector for the growth of heavy industry in Italy.
