A €34 million CDP loan will allow the precision mechanics company to digitize its production line with a new innovative industrial plant
CDP agreed to support Bonfiglioli Riduttori with a €34 million loan to help the leading Italian precision mechanics company build a new cutting-edge plant near Bologna.
Thanks to CDP’s help, the company will have the financial resources to finalize the €170 million EVO Project, with an energy-efficient and more environmentally-friendly manufacturing site capable of doubling production to 1,600,000 units per year.
Founded in 1956, Bonfiglioli started its activity by producing gears for the agricultural and motorcycle industry, then driving the industrial fabric near Bologna. Today, the Group represents international business with production facilities in Italy, India, the Slovak Republic, Germany, Vietnam, China, the United States, and Brazil.
With the latest deal, CDP so far this year has loaned €64 million to supporting manufactory, underlining its commitment to businesses digitalization and sustainability in Italy.
