Energy sustainability, biodiversity, improving the local area, food traceability and safety for the well-being of people.
These are the key words that have characterised the work of Andriani Spa since it was founded 19 years ago in Gravina in Puglia, and which now see it as a global leader in the production of gluten-free pasta, to be found on the tables of families in around about 50 countries worldwide and with a consolidated turnover of 65 million euros.
Over recent years, the consumer has become increasingly demanding and focussed on issues related to conscious nutrition and environmental sustainability and Andriani was among the first industrial companies to make these concepts its own.
Today it is considered one of the most important companies in the Italian food innovation sector, as well as being among the leading companies driving the supply chain thanks to continuous and constant growth and the ability to innovate in business.
Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, together with Crédit Agricole, has chosen to support this Italian company of excellence with a total loan of 15 million euros. The funds will be used to complete the company’s growth investments and will be specifically aimed at the installation of three new pasta and cous cous production lines and a new automated warehouse.
A young but consolidated success story from the South of Italy, with an ambitious mission linked to the Italian agri-food tradition, it has the distinctive characteristics of a company with high added value, which Cassa Depositi e Prestiti is proud to support.
With this transaction, CDP is contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 9 - build resilient infrastructure, promote sustainable industrialization and foster innovation - of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
