3.000 people will work together for the future of Italy starting September 2018
The project to create Europe’s primary hub for innovation is launched.
H-CAMPUS, promoted by H-FARM, will accommodate more than 3,000 students, startuppers, teachers, entrepreneurs and managers in a creative environment designed to foster ideas, opportunities, and experience sharing, with a focus on new trends in work and technological development.
As part of the H-CAMPIUS project, an area now occupied by H-FARM will be expanded with an addition of 31 hectares of land and the construction of 26,000 square meters of new buildings. A real estate fund valued at 101 million euros will be created for Campus construction. The fund will be managed by Finint Investments SGR and underwritten by Cattolica Assicurazioni (with a 56% share) - with the support of CDP Investimenti Sgr’s FIA2 "Smart housing, Smart working , Education & Innovation " fund (with 40% share), and Cà Tron Real Estate (with a 4% stake).
"We started an investment pool with Cattolica Assicurazioni with the aim of supporting an important Italian reality of the world of innovation,” commented Aldo Mazzocco, Head of Group Real Estate of CDP Group. “The investment is consistent with the vocation of our fund FIA2, dedicated to new forms of living, working environments, and education."
The H-CAMPUS project is in addition to numerous initiatives supported by CDP Group to promote innovation and technological development. In line with the Business Plan 2016-2020, CDP Group and FEI have recently co-financed the ITAtech initiative, the investment platform dedicated to fund the technology transfer. The fund is characterized by the concept of the open innovation, since the investment output will be represented by start-ups, spin-offs, patents and technological development agreements between companies and research centers.
