Cassa depositi e prestiti Spa (CDP) announces that, following the exercise of its acquisition option on 2 November, today – at the Ministry for the Economy and Finance (MEF) – the purchase of 100% of Sace SpA and 100% of Fintecna SpA from the MEF and around 76% Simest from the Ministry of Economic Development has been finalized.
CDP has paid the MEF a total of 5.422.621.233,93 euro (3.721.300.800 euros for Sace, 1.591.981.200 euro for Fintecna and 109.339.233,93 euro for Simest).
The sums corresponds to 60% of the book equity of the companies on 31/12/2011. Within 60 days of exercising the option, an MEF decree will specify the transfer price (considered fair by CDP) on the basis of with the adjustment payment will be determined.
