As part of the growing collaboration between the CDP Group, the MAECI and the diplomatic network, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti hosted a meeting with a select group of 50 Italian diplomats in the Sala Italia at its head office in Via Goito.
The initiative, organised by the International Affairs Area, served as a proper induction event on the Group’s scope of action and activities especially in relation to the international scene.
After the opening welcome by the CEO Fabrizio Palermo and a brief thank you from Stefano Beltrame (Head of the MAECI Training Unit), the event was introduced by Pasquale Salzano , Chief International Affairs Officer of CDP and Chairman of Simest, who illustrated the joint commitment of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti Group and MAECI to the country’s international growth.
This is followed by presentations of the CDP Group’s activities by Area managers involved in projects with an international profile: these ranged from equity to support for business growth, through to commitment in Europe and in Cooperation Development, and all the speeches made by CDP representatives attracted great interest from the audience.
In the final session, dedicated to questions for the speakers and moderated by Marco Landolfi, the Head of International Affairs at CDP, the diplomats intervened with requests for further study and reflection on the Group’s activities. The meeting in Sala Italia was therefore an opportunity to strengthen the close collaboration between CDP and the institutions.
The objective is to encourage a continuous comparison and exchange of experience and knowledge, which is essential for creating synergies and working together towards the growth of the Country System.
