Cascina Fossata is the €18 million social housing project that CDP has promoted in Turin through the FIA Fund.
Launched last November, the project, due to the characteristics and specific features of the original context, has a strong social connotation and represents much more than a functional and constructional rehabilitation project in a peripheral location of the city.
Cascina Fossata is in fact a true multifunctional centre, where different places and services coexist, which is a good reflection of the idea of sharing and living together.
Starting from the rehabilitation of an old farmhouse, the area between the Borgo Vittoria and Madonna di Campagna districts will accommodate a Temporary Residence, a hotel, sustainable commercial activities together with spaces dedicated to artisanal activities and a new public park.
Cascina Fossata is thus an example of the evolution of social housing: thanks to the wide range of spaces and services offered, the project makes it possible to create an urban fabric based on a new way of “living together” and “being together”, from a perspective of sharing.
The CDP Group, supporting the project alongside InvestiRE SGR, Sharing srl, the City of Turin, Compagnia di San Paolo and Fondazione CRT, confirms its ongoing work towards the growth of the territory and its commitment to promoting initiatives based on innovative and sustainable models.
