Italy’s Ansaldo Energy – part-owned by CDP Equity – continues its international expansion with two new contracts in South-East Asia
Leading electricity company Ansaldo Energia is continuing its drive towards international expansion. The Italian firm has received Notices to Proceed for two contracts in Indonesia signed in late 2015, worth a total of €80 million.
Ansaldo’s counterparties in the contracts are Lotte E&C and Indonesia Power. For Lotte E&C, Ansaldo Energia will provide two gas turbines and two air-cooled generators in the eastern part of Java. Meanwhile for Indonesia Power, the Italian firm will carry out a total refurbishment of a geothermal plant located in Kamojang, western Java.
The works will require local supervision. Accordingly, Ansaldo Energia has opened a branch office in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, in ceremony attended by the Italian ambassador in Indonesia Vittorio Sandalli.
The expansion of Ansaldo confirms the CDP Group’s commitment to promoting Italian expertise around the world. Indeed, Ansaldo Energia is part-owned by CDP Equity.
